Triathlon. No bike necessary.
One hundred entries are now available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participating athletes will receive use of Chicago’s famous Divvy bikes for the 10K SuperSprint bike course. Athletes will also swim 375 meters and run 2.5K as part of the race.
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) and Life Time Fitness are proud to announce this novel partnership in the local multi-sport scene.
The program is perfect for runners, swimmers and other single-sport athletes who are curious about triathlons, but aren’t quite ready to invest in the equipment. All participants in the Divvy Wave will be timed against each other, with top winners to receive special Divvy trophies.
Beyond use of the bike, all Divvy Wave participants will receive a special triathlon training kit including:
- An 8-week training program
- Coaching support from Life Time Tri certified coaches
- Inclusion into the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon presented by Toyota’s Open Water Swim Clinic Series and community events
- 24-hour Divvy pass
- Gift certificate for $10 off Divvy annual membership
- Race weekend swag bags with Chicago Triathlon goodies
Divvy bikes will be available for pickup onsite in a special transition area, with Divvy staff ensuring all bikes are race-ready. Standard race registration fees will apply. New registrations only.
Chicago Triathlon SuperSprint and Kids’ Tri spectators are encouraged to utilize Divvy bikes while visiting the race venue at Montrose Beach on August 23. Further details will be provided prior to race week. Register now and learn more about Divvy at www.Divvybikes.com.
