2008 ACCENTURE CHICAGO TRIATHLON
PRO TRIATHLETE INVITATION

The Accenture Chicago Triathlon is scheduled for the weekend of August 22 to 24, 2008. Last year, the Accenture closed with over 8,500 registrants. In 2008, you’re invited to race on the World’s Largest Triathlon Stage. The race will remain “draft-free”, and the Pros will run on the same course as the International distance age group athletes.

The weekend is filled with plenty or of opportunities for self-promotion including:

The Multisport & Fitness Expo
The Expo takes place on Friday & Saturday at the Hilton Chicago. If you have sponsors exhibiting, it’s a great opportunity spend some time at their booths to meet the public, sign a few autographs, host a clinic and more. A list of confirmed exhibitors, will be available soon. The list will be updated as new exhibitors commit.

VIP Welcome Party
Sponsored by Windy City Sports, Accenture, and CAPRI Events, the party will take place on Friday evening after the close of the Expo. The party is open to Event Sponsors, Expo Exhibitors, Professional Triathletes and the media. It’s a great opportunity to down a few cool ones and check out the competition before the race on Sunday. You will receive tickets to the Party when you pick up your race registration packet.

The Fleet Feet SuperSprint Triathlon & McDonald’s Kids Triathlon
If you can spare a bit of your morning on Saturday, we know the kids and novice triathletes would enjoy having you at their event. The race takes place at Foster Avenue Beach some 7-miles north of the Host Hotel, the Hilton Chicago. If you are interested in attending, let us know when you pick up your race registration packet so we can include you in some of the activities and make arrangements to shuttle you to and from the race.

The Accenture Chicago Triathlon
If you take the plunge, you will be included in a field of many of the world’s top professional triathletes. As in `07, the pros will race last, with the swim in Monroe Harbor, the two-lap (draft-free) bike on north Lake Shore Drive and run the through the Museum Campus & down Columbus Boulevard to finish in front of a crowd of thousands of spectators.

Accenture Chicago Triathlon Post Race Party
After the race, be sure to stick around for the Pos Race Party with plenty of free food, drink & live entertainment for 10,000 athletes, friends, family, and volunteers.

ComCast Sports Net Triathlon Television Special
The Pro Race will be featured in the one-hour Accenture Chicago Triathlon Television Special that will air on in Chicago & other major US markets.
