Village Cycle Center offers convenient receiving, assembly, storage, delivery, and shipping options for your bike.

PRE RACE SERVICES
Please choose from the following pre race services:

1. Receive, assemble, tune-up, and test ride your bicycle.
Not sure what to do with your bike or how to assemble it after your local bike shop boxes and ships it for you? Ship it to Village Cycle Center and we will receive it, assemble it, perform a tune-up (adjust derailleurs, adjust brakes, true wheels, lubricate, tighten systems, inflate tires, and basic cleaning), and test ride the bike to ensure that everything is working properly. All you have to do is stop by and pick up your bike!

Includes complimentary hard sided travel case storage. Cost – $70

2. Bicycle Delivery
We will deliver your bike to the Chicago Hilton and Towers (the official hotel of the triathlon and site of rider registration) on the Friday before the race. Participants can claim their bike by stopping by the Village Cycle Center Triathlon Expo booth (at the Chicago Hilton and Towers) and providing a state ID and a Village Cycle Center work ticket number.  Cost – $25

3. Box Bike and Return Shipment
Need help getting your bike back home? Drop your bike off at our store after the race and we can box and ship it for you via UPS ground service to any continental U.S. zip code. Includes labor to disassemble/pack the bike and shipping charges. Cost - $110 (Additional shipping insurance available at $1 per $100 of value of bike.)

NEXT, set up a pre race work ticket.
Once you have decided what services you need, Village Cycle Center can set up a work ticket for you and guarantee that your bike will be ready to go on race day.

To set up a work ticket call us at 312-751-2488.

We will need your name, address, phone number (cell phone works best), bike information (type of bike, make of bike, name of bike, color of bike), list of services you would like us to provide, and a credit card number.

Payment for services is required at the time you set up the Village Cycle Center work ticket. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Bikes received without payment will not be built or delivered.

In exchange for that information we will provide you with a work ticket number which should accompany the bike during transit. Please have a state ID and that work ticket number available to claim your bike at our store or at the Triathlon expo if you choose delivery.

Prepare Shipping Labels
Please insure that bikes being shipped to Village Cycle Center are clearly marked with your name and the work ticket number we provide you. We will inspect the bike, note any missing or damaged items, and call the owner when we receive the bike. Bikes received without this information are not guaranteed to be completed in time for delivery or race day.

Please do not ship extra items with your bike. Village Cycle Center is not responsible for any loose items shipped with the bike. We strongly advise riders to pack their shoes and helmets with their luggage as they can be damaged or cause damage to the bike during shipping. Please ask your shipper to list and box all loose items, such as skewers or pedals in a small parts box. We would also highly suggest that any bike computer heads be placed in the small parts box.
