The Multisport & Fitness Expo, race bag pick-up, race packet pick-up and body marking all take place at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60605 (Northeast, Northwest and Southwest Halls) on Friday, August 22.

You may pick up your race packet in person at the Hilton Chicago on Friday 8/22, (3pm-9pm) or Saturday 8/23, at the race site (5:30am-8:30am). Allow at least one hour if you are picking up on race morning. Please keep in mind that the busiest times at packet pick-up are on Friday (3pm-6pm).

YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  • Current photo ID
  • Your current USAT membership card or $5 (Kids 14 and under-provides an annual membership) or $10 (age 15 and above) for a single-event USAT permit unless fee was included with your race entry fee.
Each race packet will include the following:

  • Wristband (required for entrance and exit to transition and post race party)
  • Helmet number (must be on the front of your bike helmet)
  • Bike number (same as helmet number, must be on your bike’s frame)
  • ChampionChip & strap (unless you’ve indicated that you’ll be racing with your own ChampionChip and included the 7-digit number on your application.)
  • Course maps
  • Explanation of USA Triathlon penalties
Please confirm that all the items above are in your envelope before picking up your swim cap. If any item is missing, report to the trouble desk at packet pick-up.

STEPS TO THE PACKET PICK-UP PROCESS

1. Determine Your Race Number
Your race number will be posted at the entrance to the Expo or near packet pick-up on race day.

2
. USA Triathlon (USAT) Membership or
    Single-Event USAT Permit

To participate in the McDonald's Kids Triathlon, you are required to be a USAT member or purchase a single-event USAT permit. To purchase a single-event permit, stop by the USAT booth. If you are already a USAT member (have your card with you) or have paid for a single-event permit with your entry, go directly to packet pick-up.

3. Pick Up Your Race #'s & ChampionChip

Check the number signs above the registration tables. You are required to produce a photo ID and submit the completed USAT Waiver form at the Expo to collect your race packet. Relay Team Captains should collect the team race packet, wristbands and t-shirts. If you arrive at transition without your wristband, you will not be allowed to race and there are no refunds. You will also need to be wearing your wristband to collect food and drink at the post race party and to retrieve your bike from transition.

4. Check Your ChampionChip

Stop by the ChampionChip area to verify your chip before exiting the registration area.

5. Collect Your Event Shirt & Race Bag

Just show your race number and turn in your shirt tear tag to a volunteer to collect your event shirt and race bag.

6. Collect Your Swim Cap

Make sure you get the correct color swim cap.

7. Proceed to Body Marking

It is recommended that you get body marked at the Expo on Friday. Please dress appropriately (shorts and t-shirt). Body marking is also available on Saturday at the conclusion of registration, but there will be long lines.

8. Course Talk

Participants are required to attend a pre-race course talk. The talk will be given at 8:45am on race day, 15 minutes prior to the first swim wave.
