FACE OF THE RACE: TIM EGAN

Team To End AidsTim Egan, 42, is currently training with the TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) for the Chicago Triathlon and the Steelhead 70.3 Ironman race. It will be his third straight year participating in races to raise money and awareness for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Not bad for someone who never considered himself an athlete.

“My main motivation is to raise as much money as I possibly can. But I also want to try and beat my personal records from prior years,” Egan said. “What can I say? It is addicting and it is a challenge — and over the years I have learned not to back down from a challenge.”

Register with TEAM to END AIDS (T2) and use promo code TRI2012 to receive a $100 fundraising credit.
