The Life Time Tri Chicago is one of seven races that are part of the Race to the Toyota Cup, the premier triathlon series for non-drafting International Distance racing. Watch the video describing all seven races in the series here.
In the professional series, the fastest endurance athletes on the planet compete for points across America in pursuit of the Toyota Cup (in addition to one of the richest prize purses in the world). At the first race in the series, the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in Miami on April 1, Javier Gomez of Spain and Sarah Haskins of the U.S. topped the podium and took the overall lead in the point series.
At the amateur level, top age-group athletes from each race will be eligible to compete for their respective amateur championships at the Toyota US Open Triathlon in Dallas, Texas, on October 7. Find out more at RaceToTheToyotaCup.com.
