The 30th running of the Chicago Triathlon is scheduled for the weekend of August 24-26 with a prize purse of $67,000 (includes primes). As with the past 29 Chicago triathlons, the International distance race will remain “draft-free” and the Pros will swim, bike, and run on the same course as the age group athletes. The weekend is filled with plenty of opportunities for self-promotion including:

• The Multisport & Fitness Expo (Friday and Saturday)
• Friday Night VIP Welcome Party
• Chicago Kids Triathlon and Fleet Feet Sports SuperSprint (Saturday)
• Life Time Tri Chicago (Sunday)
• Life Time Tri Chicago Post-Race Party & Awards Ceremony

LIFE TIME TRIATHLON SERIES RACE TO THE TOYOTA CUP
The Life Time Tri Chicago is the third stop of the Life Time Triathlon Series Race to the Toyota Cup. The seven race series kicks off in Miami in April and wraps up in Dallas/Rockwall at the Toyota US Open Triathlon.

In 2012, the Life Time Triathlon Series includes the:

• Nautica South Beach Triathlon (Miami) - April 1
• Capital of Texas Triathlon (Austin) - May 26
• Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon - June 22
• Life Time Tri Minneapolis - July 14
• Life Time Tri Chicago - August 26
• Herbalife Triathlon Los Angeles - September 23rd
• Toyota US Open Triathlon (Dallas/Rockwall) - October 7th
