The Life Time Kids Tri Chicago Presented by Save the Children is the perfect launching pad for a youngster to break into the sport and the kick off event of the Chicago Triathlon weekend. The swim takes place in Lake Michigan at Chicago’s Foster Beach, including a shallow water start, parallel to the beach. The bike and run take place on closed park roadways and running paths all along Chicago’s beautiful lakefront.
Life Time Kids Tri Chicago
Rivaling the largest youth triathlons nationwide, the Life Time Kids Tri Chicago presented by Save the Children attracts more than 1,000 youth athletes every year! The race is open to boys and girls 7-14 years old and offers both individual and relay team competition. There is an age Division separation for relays, so teams must consist of athletes within the same Division, Junior (7-10 years) or Senior (11-14 years).
Life Time Kids Tri Chicago presented by Save the Children is excited to welcome a very special group of inspiring youth triathletes–our paratriathletes! For many years a dedicated, determined group of up and coming super stars gather on this very weekend to show the world just how it’s done! We would like to thank everyone involved in making this a truly successful event for our paratriathletes and look forward to another fantastic turn out in 2016!
Every participant gets some great gear, including custom finisher medal, race T-shirt, swim cap, bib number and more. Post-race snacks and refreshments will be provided. Relays are not allowed. All finishers will receive awards, and there will be lots of giveaways and tuns of fun after the race.
