21st Annual Accenture Chicago Multisport Expo
The Multisport Expo is held in association with the Accenture Chicago
Triathlon (the World’s Largest Triathlon) and takes place at
the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The Multisport Expo features 150 exhibitors
and attracts 15,000 visitors during the two-day show. The Expo is
the site of triathlon race packet pick up, course talks & clinics,
and features clinics by professional triathletes, product sampling
and bargains on the latest athletic gear, shoes and apparel. It is
considered by many to be the leading Expo in the Sport of Triathlon.
AUGUST
23rd
14th Annual McDonald’s® Kids Triathlon
With 800 participants (plus Ronald), the McDonald’s® Kids
Triathlon is the world’s largest. The Event takes place on Chicago's
beautiful lakefront. For kids 7-10 years, there’s a 100-meter
swim, 4-kilometer bike and 1-kilometer run. For kids 11-14 years, just
double the distances. The event offers youngsters the chance to experience
a triathlon at manageable distances and to be a part of the Chicago
Triathlon weekend. After the race, kids and their families are treated
to an awards ceremony/party with a host of characters (Ronald &
company) and post-race treats. The Event raises funds for the Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society.
AUGUST
23rd
7th Annual Fleet Feet SuperSprint Triathlon
Held in association with the McDonald’s Kids Triathlon, this
short course triathlon is a very manageable first step into the sport
of triathlon. Open to individuals 15 years and older, this Event will
attract 1,000 participants and includes a 375-meter swim, 10-kilometer
bike and 2.5-kilometer run. Awards and party follow the race. The
Event raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
AUGUST

21st Annual Accenture Chicago Triathlon
The World’s Largest Triathlon since 1983, the Accenture Chicago
Triathlon brings out 6,200 triathletes to Chicago from across the US
and around the globe. Competing at both the "Sprint" and "International"
(Olympic) distances, top-ranked professionals race for $50,000 in prize
money on a spectacular downtown lakefront course. The event also features
Corporate & Relay Team competition. It’s a weekend packed
full of triathlon excitement wrapping up with a Post-race Party for
9,000 guests with live music, food and awards. The Event raises funds
for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
