The backbone of any special event is a solid group of volunteers, and the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon is no exception. Without the help of volunteers the race would not be possible. We are always recruiting helpful volunteers and groups alike to support us throughout the Transamerica Chicago Triathlon race weekend.
The least we can do for each volunteer is to give back a little something for you! All Transamerica Chicago Triathlon volunteers will receive:
- A commemorative volunteer T-shirt celebrating this year’s event
- Complimentary food and beverage
- Complete community service hours
- Meet a new friend or business contact
- Create new interests or hobbies
- Fulfillment of helping another individuals accomplish their goal or dream
- And, of course, the good feeling one gets when helping a worthy cause
Volunteer positions include packet pickup, course marshaling, goody bag and T-shirt distribution, aid station support and many others. Over 2,000 volunteers are needed throughout the weekend at the Multisport & Fitness Expo, SuperSprint and Life Time Kids Tri Chicago or Sunday’s Transamerica Chicago Triathlon, we can find a volunteer position for just about anyone.
Group leaders of volunteer groups larger than 10 people are encouraged to reach out directly to our volunteer coordinator. Along with the normal perks of helping, we do offer donations to volunteer groups of 10 helpers or more. We will find space to accommodate groups of any size, so reach out to us today and get your group involved!
Thank you in advance to all of our 2016 Transamerica Chicago Triathlon volunteers. Don’t forget to use #lifetimevolunteer when posting your fun photos on social media!
ADOPT AN AID STATION CONTEST
Introducing our new Adopt an Aid Station Contest! We invite any 501(c)3 organizations or local schools to participate for a chance to win money for your group. We’ll provide the water, cups and tables, but we’re asking YOU to provide the entertainment to motivate our participants through the race.
Each group will be challenged to create a theme for their aid station. Once the theme gets approved, it’s time to let the fun begin! Break out those banners, balloons and noisemakers because the louder, crazier and more creative, the better. Decorations, costumes, music and props are highly encouraged.
Your group must fulfill our volunteer quantity for aid stations as assigned by our volunteer coordinator. The theme must be pre-approved two weeks prior to the race. Please note, the cost of theme supplies is the sole responsibility of the group or individual.
How to win?
At the end of the event, athletes will vote on the best aid station in our post-event survey. The winner will be announced one week after the event via social media and email. We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of stations you come up with for this year!
Please email email@example.com to take part in the fun and Adopt an Aid Station today!
