2018 Chicago Triathlon Athlete Guide Now Available
Welcome to the 36th Annual Chicago Triathlon!
Nearly 10,000 triathletes will soon descend upon Chicago for one of the world’s greatest sporting events. Founded in 1983, this historic event has been innovating the triathlon space since inception, and 2018 is no exception:
- Sunday’s race will now feature a 100% traffic-free Bike Course, utilizing all southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive. The same “stay left, pass right” rules apply.
- Last month’s inaugural Life Time Championship event was a massive hit, and it’s expanding. 2019 qualification has expanded to the top five finishers within all Competitive divisions.
- Taking a page from the Live Grit First-Timers’ Program success, more than 1,000 athletes have opted-into new, Non Competitive start options – including a Friends & Family wave.
- To strengthen our focus on education within the sport, this year Life Time debuted a new Rules Program – designed to better educate all athletes. Click the video below for full insight.
