Packet Pickup

All athletes of the Chicago Triathlon must attend the Multisport & Fitness Expo to pick up their registration packets at the Hilton Chicago on Friday or Saturday of race weekend. This includes all relay members. Packet Pickup will be located on the ground floor in Continental B-C. There will be no race-day packet pickup for athletes racing on Sunday. No exceptions!

Packet Pickup Times
Friday: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

All athletes are required to pick up their registration packets in person at the Hilton Chicago. All athletes must present a current, government-issued Photo ID in order to retrieve their race packet. Please allow up to 90 minutes to pick up your registration materials, event shirt and race bag. Please keep in mind that the busiest times at race packet pickup are between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Note: SuperSprint and Kids Tri participants have the option to pick up their packets on Friday at the Multisport & Fitness Expo or on race day (see the race-day schedule on each event page for times). It is highly recommended that athletes pick up their packet at the Expo to avoid long wait times on race morning.

At Packet Pickup, volunteers will affix a wristband to each athlete’s wrist which MUST be worn throughout race weekend. It is required for all athletes to wear their wristband in order to be permitted into Transition, on-course, and during bike check-out after the race.

Athlete Items
Athletes will receive the below race items, non-transferable to any other athlete:

  • Athlete Wristband
  • Timing Chip and Strap
  • Swim Cap
  • Race day tattoos and body marking will not be provided and is optional for athletes
  • Bike, Helmet & Gear Bag Stickers
  • Run Bib Number
  • VIP and/or Life Time Member Items (if applicable)

Athletes will then receive the following items from a separate area in
the Expo:

  • T-Shirt
  • Goodie Bag
  • Clear Transition Bags

BIKE RACKING (Sunday participants)

The Chicago Triathlon offers the option to rack your bike in Transition on the Saturday prior to race day, between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Only bikes with athlete numbers affixed may be racked. No bags may be dropped overnight. Around the clock security will be provided.

Additionally, athletes that choose to bring their bikes to the Expo can take advantage of free bike valet while they are attending Athlete Briefings and Packet Pickup. Bikes will not be transported from the Hilton to Transition. Athletes must retrieve their own bike from the valet and rack in Transition.

Expo Checklist

Stop by our Ask A Coach booth to review course maps, ask logistical questions and speak with our Race Officials on the Life Time Chicago Triathlon rules and enforcement procedures.

Avoid race day lines by obtaining a “21+ wristband” at the Expo. Note that wristbands will be applied at the time of ID check.

Recognized as the top show in triathlon, this two-day Expo attracts over 18,000 visitors. Exhibitors can display, sample, and sell products/services, distribute collateral and premiums, host an activity, and more.
