The Life Time Chicago Triathlon is working closely with local officials to produce a safe and enjoyable event for our participants, staff, volunteers, sponsors and the community.
Per the City of Chicago’s indoor mask mandate that begins on Friday, August 20th masks will be required indoors for all individuals 2 years and older, regardless of vaccination status. Participants and attendees will be required to wear a mask to pick up their packets and attend the Multisport and Fitness Expo taking place at the Hilton Chicago.
We strongly recommend that participants be fully vaccinated and take one or more of the following precautions:
- Take and receive a negative rapid response test within 24 hours of the event
- Take and receive a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event
Free COVID-19 testing and vaccinations* will be offered the following days, times and locations:
Friday, August 27:
- Multisport and Fitness Expo 1:00 pm -7:00 pm
Saturday, August 28:
- Multisport and Fitness Expo: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
- SuperSprint and Kids Tri (Foster Beach): 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
Sunday, August 29:
- Chicago Triathlon on Sunday, August 29th at Grant Park: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
*We will administer Abbott BinaxNow Rapid Antigen tests (results available within 15- 30 min. Via secure email) and a confirmatory RT-PCR test (results available within 24-36 hours via secure email. Critical results are called immediately upon instrument alert).
For vaccinations we can offer Moderna or Pfizer (one or the other) depending on the age demographic you expect.
Moderna allows for ages 18+
Pfizer allows for ages 12+
For the safety of fellow athletes, staff, volunteers and the community, please do not attend the event if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 within 14 days of the event or if you have any of the symptoms listed below.

All attendees must adhere to local and state guidelines and mandates. Creating a safe event and community is everyone’s responsibility, please help contribute to the overall safety by following these procedures.
