SuperSprint Race Information

Whether you’re new to triathlon or just into speed, the Chicago Triathlon SuperSprint is made to order. This race takes place on the Saturday of race weekend, in conjunction with the Chicago Triathlon.

All Chicago Triathlon SuperSprint participants receive a tech shirt, swim cap, race number, and a race bag, plus plenty of great post-race treats. All finishers receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the Finish Line. Additionally, top finishers receive awards in different categories.

Race along the shores of Lake Michigan with a swim that begins at Foster Beach, a bike that loops along Simonds Drive, and ends with a run along the Lakefront Trail.

Our course is wheelchair friendly, and we gladly welcome para-athletes to participate.

The Chicago Triathlon hosts participants with varying athletic abilities, interest levels, and goals when it comes to triathlon competition.

In the spirit of providing a customized race experience, athletes now have the ability to decide how competitive they wish to be, who they start alongside, and/or when they start their respective journey.

Participating athletes will receive use of Chicago’s famous Divvy bikes for the 6.2 mile (10K) SuperSprint bike course. Athletes will also swim .23 miles (375 meters) and run 1.5 miles (2.5K) as part of the race. The program is perfect for runners, swimmers and other single-sport athletes who are curious about triathlons, but aren’t quite ready to invest in the equipment.
