Race along the shores of Lake Michigan with a swim that begins at Foster Beach, a bike that loops along Simonds Drive, and ends with a run along the Lakefront Trail.
Our course is wheelchair friendly, and we gladly welcome para-athletes to participate.
The 2021 Chicago Triathlon will host participants with varying athletic abilities, interest levels, and goals when it comes to triathlon.
In the spirit of providing a customized race experience, athletes now have the ability to decide how competitive they wish to be, who they start alongside, and/or when they start their respective journey.
Participating athletes will receive use of Chicago’s famous Divvy bikes for the 6.2 mile (10K) SuperSprint bike course. Athletes will also swim .23 miles (375 meters) and run 1.5 miles (2.5K) as part of the race. The program is perfect for runners, swimmers and other single-sport athletes who are curious about triathlons, but aren’t quite ready to invest in the equipment.
All Chicago Triathlon SuperSprint participants receive a tech shirt, swim cap, race number, and a race bag, plus plenty of great post-race treats. All finishers receive a commemorative medal upon crossing the Finish Line. Additionally, top finishers receive awards in different categories.
